Full Member
    

(Select this category if you have belonged to the CPA within the last 3 years)
Full Members must (1) hold a Doctorate in Psychology, (2) be licensed as a psychologist in the State of California, or (3) be a Diplomat of the American Board of Professional Psychology. (For the purposes of determining CPA member status, Licensed Educational Psychologists are accepted on the same basis as Licensed Psychologists.)
New Member
     New CPA members must meet the same membership requirements as full members.
New Early Career/ New Doctorate Member
     New Early Career/ New Doctorates must meet the same membership requirements as full Members, except they will have received their Doctorate within the last two years. Those meeting this requirement receive a discount off Member dues.
Early Career/ New Doctorate Member (3-4)
    

New Early Career/ New Doctorates in their 3rd and 4th year after receiving doctoral degree.
New Associate Member
    

Associate members are persons who hold a Master's Degree in Psychology or the equivalent. If you are a matriculating student, you may apply as a student.
New Student Member
    

Student members are matriculating students in a psychology graduate program, or postdoctoral fellows in an organized psychology training program within a clinic, hospital, industrial or university setting.
New Out of State Member
     Out-of-state members shall include all persons who meet the membership requirements but who live outside the state of California and wish to participate in CPA.
New Affilliate Member
     Affiliate members shall consist of those persons with an interest in psychology such as, but not limited to, certified para professionals, members of allied professions, high school teachers of psychology, or members of the general public with an interest in psychology.
